The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities rose further on Friday boosted by strong capesize, panamax and supramax rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities rose further on Friday boosted by strong capesize, panamax and supramax rates.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, up by another 31 points to 1048 points on Friday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
